2017 World Rowing Championships

In the 48 years of the event’s existence, the United States has hosted only one other World Championships, in 1994 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
This nine day event is held at the end of the northern hemisphere summer. In non-Olympic years, it is the highlight of the international rowing calendar. Rowing takes place in 21 different boat classes for both men and women.

Taste of Downtown Food & Wine Festival

Now in its fourth year, this established Sarasota tradition will bring you onto the Sarasota Opera House main stage where your favorite downtown restaurants will be showcasing their tasty dishes paired with fine wines, assorted beers and specialty cocktails. Proceeds from this event benefit the Sarasota Youth Opera who will perform during the event. Come to mix & mingle, sample tasty bites, and have a drink with us to celebrate the end of summer in Sarasota!

Oktoberfest at Calusa Brewing

Calusa Brewing 5701 Derek Ave, Sarasota

Throw on your Lederhosen and come kick it with us in celebration of Octoberfest! The Schnitzel Trailer will be on site serving up an authentic Bavarian menu to pair with two special release brews. Justin Layman will be onsite rocking the mic from 3-7pm in the Tasting Room.
