Please note the start time in the video has been revised. The correct agenda is listed below along with other details about the event.
- 5:30 – Doors open/Networking begins
- 6:30 – Welcome video and opening remarks
- 6:45 – Candidate forum
- 8:00 – Closing remarks
Doors will open at 5:30 and we expect a large rush of people around 6:00. Plan on arriving early to avoid the line and remember that the event is free, but we are asking people to register on Eventbrite so that we can track attendance and follow up with everyone after the event.
From 5:30 to 6:30 we invite you to sample food from local restaurants, meet a few local nonprofit organizations, and network with the people who are helping us pull all of this off. Some of the candidates will be in attendance for the networking portion of the event, so this will also be a good time to ask questions, or get to know them a little better.
We have prepared a short video to open the event, and then our Founder will take 10-15 minutes to warm up the crowd, introduce the mission and vision of the Sarasota Underground, and then transition into the candidate forum.
From about 6:45 – 8:00 we will have a candidate forum moderated by Kevin Cooper where we will be discussing major issues as they relate to the growth and future of Sarasota. Feel free to submit questions for this portion of the event on social media using the hashtag #SUTownHall

At approximately 8:00 we will conclude the event with a few closing remarks from our founder as well as an interactive straw poll which we will be conducting online.
After the town hall we will be migrating over to The Starlite Room. There will be conversation prompts and drink specials so that town hall attendees can carry on the conversation in a more casual setting.
