A series of one night only events combining live music and experiential artworks in the Courtyard. Ringling Underground is always free for college students with a valid college ID. It is an extension of the Art After 5 program held on Thursdays after 5 p.m. After hours discounted admission is $15 for adults; $5 for children 6-17, children 5 and under and Museum Members are free.
FREE event with music, vendors & a kids zone. From 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m., take a trolley tour of the new history markers located along the Newtown Conservation Historic District.

Harvey Milk Festival’s art exhibit this year, “HOPE WILL NEVER BE SILENT,” will feature both established and young emerging artists that promote LGBTQIA human experiences through their work, which is to be presented as a collective transmedia art exhibit on Thursday, May 1th 2017 in Downtown Sarasota, Florida.
Pioneer Winter is a Miami-based choreographer, and director of the Pioneer Winter Collective – invested in physical theatre, contemporary dance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and transmedia. His Collective provides a platform for risk-taking, progressive, and experimental projects by democratizing performance through unexpected bodies, unexpected places, and unexpected social change.
The 8th Annual Harvey Milk Festival (HMF) will take place May 11-13, 2017, culminating in a 10-band concert at Five Points Park in historic downtown Sarasota, Florida. Three days of theatre, performance art, and music that embrace equality and bring the community together. Find out how you can be a part of this magical event.
The “Pop-Up” series is an initiative designed to offer area-based high school and college students the opportunity to take their art to a higher level. This program came into fruition as a response to young artists who reached out to Art Center Sarasota for exhibition opportunities. Our exhibition staff works with them to develop their projects and give them exhibit space and an audience. For many, it’s the first time they’ve worked directly with a professional art space or gallery. This is a real learning experience for them.
