Celebrate the Halloween season and join the New Florida Cinema at 7PM on Wednesday, October 25th by watching the American classic “Night of the Living Dead” on the big screen. Whether this is your first or hundreth time seeing the film, come out for a night of fun and scares.
Please note: The New Florida Cinema will present “Night of the Living Dead” with minor alterations as a way to localize and experiment with this public domain film for our viewers. The film will be presented in the highest quality possible and any alterations are intended to be respectful of the original feature. The changes are designed to be in the spirit of the film and may possibly go unnoticed by all but the most die hard “Night of the Living Dead” fans. The impact of George A. Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead” on cinema history is immeasurable and the film is credited with birthing modern horror zombies and providing 60’s era social critique that is still relevant to this day.
Screening before the feature will be a brief cartoon, the short film “Death of the Maiden” by Rylie Dexter and the horror comedy “Chomp” from Lynne Hansen.
We hope to see you at the show on October 25th at the Parkway 8.
