Psychobilly Bash w/ The Zipheads at Ace’s

Saturday 10/29 at 8pm, is the next event in the ongoing partnership between Independent Jones & Aces Live Music Bradenton.

Featuring The Zipheads & Faceless Bandits

The Zipheads:
Can you imagine what it would sound like to have members of The Clash and Stray Cats playing together as one band? This is the best way to describe what The Zipheads do!

Coming from St. Albans (North London) UK, the trio formed in 2008. The Zipheads have managed to create their own signature sound through many years of touring across the UK, Scandinavia, Spain, Belgium, Germany and Eastern Europe. They have shared the stage with a wide selection of acts such as The Creepshow, Madness, The Damned, Koffin Kats, Necromantix, and many more.

Their debut album, “Prehistoric Beat”, became an instant success after its release in 2013, followed by a music video for the album single, “Revenge”, which was widely shared via all forms of social media. Their much anticipated second album, “Rampage”, is due for release in September 2016, just prior to their US tour.

The Zipheads are sure to please live music lovers of all styles, and are looking forward to filling music venues across the Southeastern US this Fall.

Originally formed in Bradenton, Florida in September of 2012, Faceless Bandits are an acoustic group consisting of Doug Harnish (acoustic guitar/banjo/vocals), David Lester (upright bass/vocals), Sean McInerny (Guitar/Vocals), Ross Godfrey (Mandolin/Fiddle/Guitar/Vocals.

They play a unique blend of blues, rockabilly, and bluegrass mixed with subtle influences of punk and metal. The guys affectionately refer to this mixture of sounds as “Sawgrass”.

They have shared the stage with Thomas Wynn & the Believers, Have Gun Will Travel, Apple Butter Express, Grandpa’s Cough Medicine, Big Jef Special, Beebs and Her Moneymakers, and Bloody Jug Band.Faceless Bandits are currently in the studio recording their full-length debut which is expected to be released in the summer of 2016 and followed by several touring dates to promote the new album.

The Dram/Will Quinlan/Kristopher James at Ace’s Live

This is what happens when musicians seek out each other out of mutual admiration. They have played together in venues on the north side of the Skyway Bridge, but never in Bradenton.

Well, you can now see Will Quinlan, The Dram & Kristopher James play in “The Friendly City.” Just as musicians form partnerships, so do promoters and venues. This is the latest in the partnership between Independent Jones & Aces Live Music Bradenton.

$5 cover, doors open at 7:30pm on 8/20.

Ace’s Live
4343 Palma Sola Blvd
Bradenton, FL 34209

Mosquito Teeth//Dealbreaker//Long Lost Enemies

$5 cover, and you can expect drink and food specials.

Mosquito Teeth are a local, non-touring, St Petersburg punk rock band that plays the same bar over and over again.

Well, somehow we were able to convince them to leave the friendly confines of St Pete and come across the bridge to play with Dealbreaker & Long Lost Enemies.

More accurately, it was the fear of karate-infused reprisal from the members of Dealbreaker that caused them to change their tune. Or possily an offering of burritos from Long Lost Enemies. We may never know.

You can bet your sweet ass that this show will be one to remember. That is, unless you decide to murder your brain cells with too much booze that night (and hopefully Uber your way home).

“It is our goal to bring significant bands to local crowds, and significant crowds to local bands”, said Wade Hamilton of Independent Jones.
