Brian Yoder (SRQ)
Brian has shifted in and out of stealing our hearts with his different approach on how to deliver his music. First he won our hearts with his catchy as hell songs in an intimate setting where everyone in the room was singing with him and even in their car after the show. Since those days he has delivered several projects leaning more in the looping and even full band spectrum, better known as Fancy Rat. This evening we want you to hear how embracing a brilliant musican can be with just his guitar.

Sam Robertson (SRQ)
Sam has recently returned to Sarasota after spending the last 6 years in Dallas, TX. Combining somber melodies and witty lyrics, the 24 year old transports you to a place of honesty and heart ache. Currently working with Surprise! records, she is in the process of recording and developing a new sound.

Physical Plantt is a collaborative rock project from SRQ that serves up high-energy indie psych with nary a dreamy synth in sight. Caegan Quimby’s garage-prog tangles with Josh Scheible’s soul fusion over the assertive and intricate rhythm stylings of David Baker (bass) and Ryan McCarthy (drums). Their two EP’s, Are They Dangerous? and Wisdom Tooth are available for streaming or free download at physicalplant.bandcamp.com

“Sarasota four-piece [Physical Plant] writes and performs an intriguing brand of psychedelic rock that melds freak-outs with more focused indie rock, creating sounds that are familiar and fresh, trippy and propulsive.” Wade Tatangelo, The Ticket Sarasota

“Physical Plant performed an electrifying set that overflowed with melodious, four-part vocal harmonies, galvanizing guitar solos, heaving bass lines, compelling keyboards and thunderous drums that had feet shuffling and heads nodding across the venue until the performance came to a deliberately abrupt conclusion that had many in the audience catching their breath.” -Tyler Whitson, This Week in Sarasota

The Beat Down (SRQ)

“60’s influenced rock n Roll trio, incorporating harmonies, catchy hooks and Fuzz into a sound that will make you shake.”

FR33DBACK (TPA)
Matthew Reisinger, known by his stage name FR33DBACK, is an electronicmusician, sound designer, and composer from Tampa, Florida. He began his music career with the synth rock band Select Start in October of 2004, with whom he co-produced and co-wrote multiple albums and toured the country for over six years, all the while continuing to develop his skills as a talentedmusic producer and engineer. In 2011, Matthew decided to leave the touring lifestyle and joined a video production company in Tampa called Spark, as the head of the sound department. He has since written custom music for massive brands such as Bentley Motors, Visit Florida, and Bright House Networks. On September 22nd, 2015, the first FR33DBACK album, “Loop,” was released on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music. This collection of recordings started as an experiment in vocal manipulation techniques, but soon became the foundation on which his unique new sound was developing, which incorporated a host of analog synthesizers, drum machines and samplers. The second FR33DBACK album, “MathMath,” is slated for release on November 4th, and encompasses a much more complex and detailed electronic orchestration compared to the stripped down arrangements found on his first album. FR33DBACK can be found performing these intensely layered downtempo synthwave tunes amidst a myriad of knobs, switches, and buttons, resembling Dr. Frankenstein as he creates life by harnessingthe power of electricity.

SamStorm (SRQ)
Beneath the smooth reflective surface of the water in vast, ever-changing fluids of imagination, there is an area of space that holds tiny oscillating particles. The intent behind these particles is to surround the body upon being submerged and move back and forth in perfectly spaced electric rings which allow the mind to enter into a remissive state that dulls the senses with the possibility of side effects such as: involuntary swaying and thrusting of the body, and/or intense feelings of euphoria and super chill vibes. When these waters reach subtropical temperatures, a SAMSTORM is conjured and the energy becomes infinitely stronger.

Each session is equally influenced by the spontaneity of the space and the collective energy of its participants. Mouth Council’s mission is to create communal music, pulsing with the freshness of the moment and providing an opportunity for free expression and primal release for all involved.”

The Jackettes ( Saint Petersburg, Florida)
They are not so much a band as they are an attempt to give form to the passion felt for the music that we have come to know and love in our human existence. Like a child trying on their father’s too-big suit and tie or a group of toddlers shoulder-stacked under a baggy trench coat– we are youthfully attempting to carry the glimmering torch of our musical ancestors. This is an effort to give the world her next “classic sound.” We love it all: from the tender ballads of the Great American Songbook, to the unpredictable antics of a swinging 70’s r&b diva mythical and real….and we feel a strong obligation and connection to those of the yester-world to make music with those same characteristics. A sound that transcends being accepted and understood. We are humans struggling under the weight of living and dying. We are made by a great creator trying to be as creative. So it goes. The music we create embodies the out of touch, out of sync, misunderstood hysterical breakdown of simply living- to unite us.

Tuff Son (Sarasota, Florida)
Jeph Kerber aka Tuff Son https://www.tuffson.com is a stranger in your town. He walks in stride with people much taller than him. He prefers to play the song you didn’t expect to hear(he also prefers Ketel). He wants you to get another beer. His rhyming schemes are pretty basic. But don’t be fooled by his politeness. Or do. I don’t know? He’s up early killin’. What is being conveyed at this point is anyone’s guess. Tuff Son -Music That Makes You Homesick.
