SIRSY & Holey Miss Moley at Ace’s Live

Independent Jones & Aces Live Music Bradenton partner up again to bring you a nationally touring act in SIRSY opening for one of our St. Pete/Orlando favorites (Holey Miss Moley).

This falls in line with Independent Jones’s mantra of “bringing significant crowds to local bands & significant bands to local crowds.”

SIRSY… 8p-9:30p
Holey Miss Moley… 10p-Midnight
Tickets are $7 ADV/$10 DOOR

Holey Miss Moley is a nine piece Funk-Flavored Rock-Soul Infused Groove Factory based out of Everywhere, Florida (St.Petersburg to Orlando). Their high-energy sound is reminiscent of old school 70’s funk melded with elements of Disco, Jazz, Soul and Hip-hop creating a superb fusion that delights and energizes the crowd getting people up and dancing all night!

The musicians in Holey Miss Moley have collaborated together for years and it shows through their tight-knit sound and well orchestrated music. Even better, they enjoy playing together and it creates an atmosphere of funky fun for everyone.

SIRSY is a Rock + Soul Duo with Pop Sensibilty, lots of heart, & just the right amount of sass. Fronted by charistmatic lead singer, Melanie who is also the band’s drummer and plays a full kit standing up. Melanie also plays bass parts on a keyboard with her drum stick and even throws in an occasional mean flute solo. Rich Libutti plays a road worn and well loved Rickenbacker through a pedal board full of vintage effects. He also pays bass with his feet. SIRSY is known for passionate performances that often include lots of stories from the road, laughs, and dance parties. It’s a good time!

Moxie Productions Presents: Orignal Showcase

Pathos, Pathos (Orlando, FL)
It’s in circuses and festivals where every view that greets the eye is spectacular and alluring. Abnormality is celebrated and human dilemma, outside the fair gates, becomes an afterthought. Beneath these carnival lights, Pathos, Pathos is the search for euphoria along a path obscured by obsession, longing, and doubt.

DieAlps! (Tampa, FL)
Austrian born and raised Cornelia (“Connie”) Calcaterra and husband/guitarist Frank, lead Tampa, FL’s DieAlps! (translated: The Alps!). Formed in 2012 and quickly becoming one of Central Florida’s more beloved acts, the band’s self-titled debut EP (Fall 2014) gave us swaying waltzy baroque-pop with lyrics reflecting Connie’s growing up abroad and her life changes in the States.

With a couple line-up tweaks and guitarist Frank now sharing lead vocal duties with Connie, DieAlps! are currently in the studio exploring new sonic territory heavily influenced by 90’s indie rock. Look for their debut full length in 2016.

PRESS QUOTES:
“Dialps! singer/guitarist, Austria-born Cornelia Calcaterra combines her classical training, experience with electric guitar, and love for indie rock to produce full scale waltz-rock anthems.”
– WMNF 88.5

“These genuinely nice humans play heartfelt rock with humor and intensity”
– The Burger

“Hints of 90s rock nostalgia mingle with effervescent pop enthusiasm, making for a fizzy, rather enjoyable listen.” – Fuzzy Logic

“Standing on the corner of where Beach Boys meet Iggy Pop, this is how the kids are mashing it up these days when they need buzzy music to give them a buzz.” – Midwest Record

SamStorm (SRQ)
Beneath the smooth reflective surface of the water in vast, ever-changing fluids of imagination, there is an area of space that holds tiny oscillating particles. The intent behind these particles is to surround the body upon being submerged and move back and forth in perfectly spaced electric rings which allow the mind to enter into a remissive state that dulls the senses with the possibility of side effects such as: involuntary swaying and thrusting of the body, and/or intense feelings of euphoria and super chill vibes. When these waters reach subtropical temperatures, a SAMSTORM is conjured and the energy becomes infinitely stronger.
