Open House for Sarasota Boating Community

Calling All Boaters: The Bay Sarasota Wants to Hear from You

As the Sarasota Bayfront Planning Organization (SBPO) and Sasaki continue to Imagine the Possibilities of the future of The Bay, it is important that all voices in our community are heard.

The Sarasota boating community has voiced their concerns regarding the boat ramp, the future of the boat ramp, and how this will impact recreational and commercial boaters on The Bay.

We invite you to join The Bay and our partners, Moffatt and Nichol, to learn more about the recently conducted boating survey and we ask for your participation and input to make the current 10th Street boat launch an amazing destination for our boating community.

We want to hear your concerns, your desires for the future of the boat ramp, and how we can best work together to make this project a success.

The Sarasota Bayfront Planning Organization and master design and planning firm, Sasaki, will present three design options for the future of The Bay. The three designs build upon community feedback gathered within the community and through both in-person and online surveys in February. This event is a follow up to our February Open House.

The purpose of the public open houses is to share the concepts and gather additional input about which aspects appeal to the community in order to prepare one desired master plan. All three designs combine nature and environment, arts and culture, and recreation and boating opportunities – all of which were of utmost importance to the Sarasota community.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:
**PARKING: Parking is located along Mango Avenue, as well as in the dirt lot across from the brewery.
**FOOD & DRINK: Smokin Momma Lora’s BBQ Mobile food truck will be on site that evening. Beer pricing will be set at $4.50 per pint for JDub’s Brewing Company & Tap Room’s core beers (including Up Top! IPA, Passion Wheat, Bell Cow Porter, and Poolside Kolsch)

Can’t attend? Be sure to check out the additional public open houses on April 17th and 18th: https://www.thebaysarasota.org/events. We will also be sharing an online survey so you can provide feedback on the three design concepts.
