The State of Sarasota – A Community Town Hall Event

Hello Sarasota,

I wanted to invite you to our upcoming Town Hall event. It’s an opportunity for you to learn more about what is going on in your community, and share your ideas about how best to move Sarasota forward.

  • This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.

Here is an overview of the Town Hall Event.

Main purpose of event:

  1. Build community and generate excitement about important community issues
  2. Drive awareness for upcoming local elections and the importance of local civic involvement
  3. Create unique exposure opportunities for local civic and business partner organizations

Team:

The event is being hosted by the Sarasota Underground with the support of Clear Idea Labs, and a number of other local businesses and community organizations. A full list of community partners will be posted on this page soon.

Candidate Forum:

All announced candidates have been confirmed and will be in attendance. Leading up to the event you will have an opportunity to submit questions for the candidates, and suggest topics for discussion during our open community forum.

Vendors:

SU is inviting local businesses and organizations to support the town hall event with a sponsorship which would include a table at the event, and the ability to showcase their business or organization to a broad segment of Sarasota residents. There are also long term founding partner sponsorship opportunities that will be announced as we move forward. If you are interested in being a sponsor please fill out the form on this page and click the box for partner information.

Creative involvement:

We will be including a creative component to the town hall, where we involve the SU Creative Partners in an interactive part of the event. To learn more about how you can become a creative partner click here.

Breakout sessions:

In addition to the candidate forum, we will be having community workshops and breakout sessions to tap into the community mind and to solicit input on a number of relevant community initiatives.
