Our 2nd Annual Siesta Key Beach Cleanup!

Join us out on Siesta Key Beach on July 5th to help Beach Club Siesta Key – 1947. The Hub Baja Grill, The Cottage, Siesta Key, Siesta Key Summer House Steak and Seafood, Mad Moe’s Sports Pub & Grill, Smokin’ Joe’s, Smoothie King, & Clean Up, Aisle Earth when we team up to tackle the mess we know will be left over from the 4th of July Weekend.

Everyone saw the yearly videos and pictures of OUR beautiful nationally rated beach during the days following Memorial Day Weekend. It was disgraceful, & no one wants to see the beach that way again.

Setup is at 7am, and we’ll be cleaning up our beautiful Siesta Key until 11am! Stay tuned for more details!

Celebrate the 4th of July at beautiful Selby Gardens. Listen to live music, savor the All-American favorites, take part in a variety of family and children’s activities and enjoy the fireworks while overlooking Sarasota Bay!

FANFARES & FIREWORKS will feature a variety of musical groups, an opportunity for families to picnic in the grass and a spectacular fireworks show.

The musical line-up includes The Greg Billings Band, a group with an expanded repertoire that include many soul and rhythm and blues classics. Albert Castiglia is an American blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. He made his professional debut in 1990 with Miami Blues Authority, but truly hit the international radar when Junior Wells invited him into his solo band for several world tours.

32nd Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Lights

The 32nd Annual Sarasota Holiday Boat Parade of Lights will be held on Saturday December 9, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The best areas for viewing are Marina Jack Restaurant, Bayfront Park, City Island and Centennial Park.

The Parade route has been expanded by an additional turn marker at the southwest side of Bay front Park. All boats must now pass approximately one third of the Sarasota Bay side of Bay front Park within a few yards, to be considered for judging. The Bay front Park spectator viewing area has been expanded to include the entire Northern tip of island near the fountain. The VIP viewing area has been moved to the Marina Jack’s fuel dock to allow additional space for spectators. This will improve spectator viewing from Bay front Park considerably. The SNN 6 local news staff will be covering the event throughout the evening at several areas throughout Marina Jack.

There is no entry fee for boats registering for the parade. Each parade participant will receive a commemorative gift. Vessels must be over 21 feet.

Entries will be judged in 4 categories including:
Private (P1): 21-35 ft
Private(P2): 36ft and over’
Corporate (C1): 21-35′
Corporate (C2): 36′ and over.

Cash prizes, awards and trophies will be awarded at a ceremony at Marina Jack’s fuel dock at 8:30pm following the parade.

All Proceeds Benefit Suncoast Charities for Children, Inc.
